First and foremost, Saint Luke’s Greeters create a positive welcome experience for all church visitors. A friendly and positive welcome experience could be most impactful for people who have been away and are now returning to the church, or visiting Saint Luke’s for the first time. Saint Luke’s Greeters will also assist people with any special needs such as the elderly or physically challenged, assist with the seating of latecomers or seating at Masses that have high attendance. In addition, Saint Luke’s Greeters take up the collection offering.

We always welcome people who are interested in being a greeter. At this time we can use some help. Many of us consider the fact that we are at the Mass anyway so, why not assist this simple ministry while we are there. All are invited, men, women, young adults and families.

Don’t Suffer Alone . . .

We’re brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, independent people. We tend to think that if we ask for help, it is a sign of weakness. So we try to keep our struggles hidden and are reluctant to ask for help. However, that’s not God’s plan. Galatians 6:2 says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
